Quinn Marks Black History Month

CHICAGO -- A Chicago restaurateur who used to feed the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. has been honored as part of Black History Month.

Gov. Pat Quinn proclaimed Friday "Edna Stewart Day" in honor of the woman behind the popular soul food restaurant on Chicago's West Side.

Open since 1966, the restaurant is an institution after having served civil rights leaders including King and the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
